Adam Kummins, a graduate of Boston's celebrated Berklee College of Music, has worn many hats in his journey through the music industry. An East Coast native now residing in Los Angeles, he has served as record producer, recording engineer, songwriter, composer, live performer, session performer, and recording artist. His many influences include the likes of The Beatles, Billy Joel, and Elton John.
Adam has played piano since the age of seven. He began as a formally trained Classical pianist and while in high school began to arrange and compose as well. He performed in marching bands, concert bands, jazz bands, and rock bands at Florida State University and the University of Georgia. At Berklee, he engineered and produced recording sessions and began to craft his songwriting skills. After graduating, Adam moved to Los Angeles where he became a composer and recording engineer for Elias Associates. At Elias, he wrote and recorded music for television commercials in a wide variety of styles, from orchestral scores to hip hop tracks, from rock to jazz, from ethnic percussion to surreal effects. Some of his clients included AM/PM, Plymouth, Coca-Cola, Budweiser, Nike, UPS, Levi's, and Energizer.
Today Adam is an avid songwriter, currently working on a CD of his own music, and he performs regularly at open mics and local Hollywood clubs for anyone who will listen. Adam has appeared following Pat DiNizio, lead singer of the Smithereens; he has drawn words of praise from singer/songwriter Richard Marx; and has attended a private masterclass with Billy Joel. Adam is also thanked in the credits for contributing to the soundtrack albums for "Sweet November," "Swordfish," "Osmosis Jones," "Summer Catch," "Rock Star," "Training Day," "Ocean's Eleven," "A Walk to Remember," and "Queen of the Damned."
Adam is an active member of the American Society of Composers, Authors & Publishers (ASCAP), the American Federation of Musicians (AFM), the LA Music Network (LAMN), and the National Association of Record Industry Professionals (NARIP). He also runs the industry networking website, Hollywood Networking, and serves on the Board of Directors for the L.A. Seminoles!!
